7/7: The London Bombings

On 7/7/05, bombs explode at three Tube stations and on a bus in London. As police search for evidence, Cobra meets and thousands call the casualty line. Officers work to identify if suicide bombers are responsible.

On July 8, the police and security services are worried that a new attack is imminent. Did all the attackers die? At the same time, Julie Nicholson is desperately searching for her daughter.

Two weeks later, 4 bombs fail to explode in London transport. No injuries. Suspects remain free. Police track a suspect to south London, following him to Stockwell station where armed officers shoot him on a train.

Police believe they have shot one of the suspected bombers on a subway train. But have they really made a fatal mistake? Witnesses say the man tried to flee. But his belongings reveal that he is an innocent Brazilian.
