Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World

Life on the Atlantic coast of Patagonia is wild and merciless. While intelligent orcas hunt seals on the beach, nearby elephant seals engage in fierce mating battles.

Along the Pacific coast of Patagonia lie breathtaking fjords, shaped over millennia by glacial ice. In the nutrient-rich waters, the largest animal in the world, the blue whale, can be found.

In the ancient forests of Patagonia lives the Kodkod, the smallest wild cat in America. The skilled climber hunts birds, reptiles, and all kinds of mouse-sized animals in the dense branches.
