Back in active police service, Finn Kiesewetter takes on the murder of a marzipan manufacturer. Since all the suspects can provide an alibi, the investigator has to think quite unconventionally.

His female roommates put it bluntly: the dead student Gunnar was a womanizer with money problems. Soon, Finn realizes that the motive for the murder lies somewhere else entirely.

A spear pierces the scion of an industrial family. Finn Kiesewetter uncovers the boy's gambling debts, but only an investigation leads to the murderer: Who can shoot with such precision?

Excitement in Lübeck: A dead hitman is found in the forest. Gradually, more and more possible suspects emerge, but it is only Finn's foray into the art scene that leads to the real culprit.

A reunion between Finn's aunts and their old acquaintance Marie ends tragically: the elderly lady is poisoned. The act seems to have something to do with an incident from long ago.
