The Wallis Tschugger Bax Schmidhalter wants to hunt down local drug dealers. To do so, he sends the shy trainee Smetterling on a daring undercover operation. This goes horribly wrong.

A confrontation on the Simplon escalates and shots are fired. Possible victim: police trainee Smetterling, who has disappeared without leaving a trace. Bax makes his mark with a primary school class.

A bloodbath on the Simplon Pass leads to a full-scale operation by the Valais police force. The Tschugger Bax, who is forced to be on cleaning duty, secretly goes on the hunt for criminals and hits on federal police officer Annette.
