In the heart of the Zambian bush is the beautiful Luangwa Valley, home to 60 species of mammal andmore than 400 species of birds. It’s one of the last remaining strongholds for some of Africa's most endangered large carnivores, but the Valley is at risk.

Liuwa Plains National Park was decimated by poachers during a time of civil war, and for many years the park was nearly lifeless. Conservationists are working to restore the wildlife to its former glory, and now there is even a foundation of a pride of lions.
